  • 5 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted, divided

  • 4 medium peaches (about 1 1/4 pounds), halved and pitted

  • 1/3 cup slivered almonds, toasted and cooled

  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/3 cup plus 1 tablespoon sugar, divided

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

  • 3/4 teaspoon pure almond extract

Top peaches with streusel and bake until peaches are tender and streusel is browned, about 20 minutes (if browning too quickly, loosely cover with foil).
