  • - Meat Tenderizer / Brick (Stone) - For tenderizing the meat to enhance flavor absorption during marination.

  • - Grilling Baskets / Pans - Ideal for evenly cooking and grilling chicken thighs on a grill or in a pan.

  • - Digital Meat Thermometer - Essential to ensure the chicken reaches a safe internal temperature (165°F).

  • - Silicone Basting Brush - For applying marinade, glaze, or sauce onto the chicken thighs while grilling.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup soy sauce

  • 1/3 cup (packed) dark brown sugar

  • 2 tablespoons chopped peeled fresh ginger

  • 4 large garlic cloves, chopped

  • 12 skinless boneless chicken thighs (about 3 pounds)

  • Sticky Rice

  • Seasoned Nori Wrappers

Instructions

Instruction 1

Whisk soy sauce, brown sugar, ginger, and garlic in large bowl. DO AHEAD Can be made 2 hours ahead. Let stand at room temperature.

Prepare barbecue (medium-high heat). Add chicken to marinade; toss to coat. Let marinate at room temperature 15 minutes. Brush grill with oil. Grill chicken until cooked through, about 5 minutes per side.

Wrap grilled chicken with the Sticky Rice in Seasoned Nori Wrappers .
